Severe Weather Policy

In cooperation with local authorities and an attempt to keep the community safe, the YMCA has adopted the following procedures regarding YMCA services during inclement weather, consistent with those of the Findlay City Police Department.

Level I & School Closings:

When Findlay City Schools close for inclement weather, regular YMCA operating hours remain in effect unless a Level III emergency condition exists. Youth classes that take place before 3 pm are canceled. Classes after 3 pm may be canceled depending upon conditions at the time. Listen to local radio station 100.5 WKXA for updates.

Level II Emergency:

All YMCA classes are canceled. Regular YMCA operational hours apply.

Level III Emergency:

The YMCA will be closed and will remain closed for the day, opening the following day only if the Emergency Level III has been lifted.

YMCA Child Development Center:

Remains open until a Level III emergency condition is announced. This allows for working parents to make arrangements for picking their children up for the Child Development Center.
