Fitness

Women's Intro to Weight Training:  Total body workout. Enhance strength and endurance. Use all weight equipment.

Chair Yoga - Motion with a Mission: Learn correct alignment and body positioning. Work on reclaiming range of motion.

Healthy Lifestyles:  Start a beginning exercise program. Latest on healthy eating, supplements and cooking. 45 minutes of information and 30 minutes of exercise.

   The nations leading program for older adults - SilverSneakers is now being offered at the Findlay YMCA. Free basic membership to the YMCA. Custom-designed classes taught by certified instructors. Contact the YMCA for details.

Silver Sneakers Fitness Program:  Group exercise for older adults that increases strength and flexibility. Chairs, balls and hand weights to work muscle strength and range of motion. Fun Exercise and Fun Music!

Adult Non-Physical Programming

Afternoon Bridge:  Interested in playing or learning how? Lessons and drop in play. Contact Shirley Pollock (419) 423-0211 for more information.

Brown Bag Forums:  Programs designed for active older adults. Informal speaks will present on such topics as: "How can I eat healthier to live longer?", "Massage Therapy - Pro athletes do it, why don't I?", Memory and Aging - What's normal? What's Not?", "Stress Management", "Reflexology - What is it?"

Y Knit:  Learn to knit with simple projects. Materials provided.

International Friendship Circle:  An opportunity to share cultural experiences with community members from other countries. We welcome anyone with a desire to exchange life experiences with people living among us from another culture.

Y's Men's Club:  Service Club of the YMCA for Men and Women. Saturday morning meetings. Sponsor the Election Night Supper and Good Friday Breakfast.

Prayer Group:  Pray for concerns of others. Meets in the YMCA Chapel. Contact Eric Williams at the YMCA.

Toledo Glass Pavilion:  See the world renowned glass collection and active glass making.

SilverSneaker Socials:  Come with us to places near and far. We have a trip or activity for everyone. Trips & activities include:  Line Dancing; Jewelry Making; Walk in Litzenburg Park; Tiffin Box Tour; Mud Hen's Game; trip to Tecumseh; Tea Party. Look for flyers at the at the Y!

Y-Quilt:  Quilting projects selected by group or work on your own project. Come and go format.
